MS470 SAFETY AND ARMING DEVICE
The MS 471 is a mechanical safety and arming device for use in electronic proximity fuzes for the 40mm and 57mm L/70 systems. The MS 470 contains a M100 electrical detonator.

The MS 471 and MS 477 are mechanical safety and arming devices for use in mechanical and electronic fuzes for the 76mm navy shell. The MS 471 contains a M100 electrical detonator and the MS477 a M55 flash sensitive detonator.

D619 SAFETY AND ARMING DEVICE
The D 619 is a pure mechanical device. The first function of the SAD is to ensure the muzzle safety, but after the arming sequence, the second function of the clockwork mechanism is to keep the detonator in line during a fixed time. After this time, if a failure or no impact occurs, the rotor containing the detonator moves back to the safe position. This SAD has been qualified by the Swiss Army and was produced in high volumes.
